Engineering mind set
Though I have only been at college for one semester, it has definitely had an effect on me. Between iFoundry and my other engineering classes, my creative switch has been turned on. I feel that these classes have definitely started to make me think in and engineering way. It has changed the way I view the world around me. Now when I look at something I instantly think of how it could have been made and how it could be improved. I feel like this step is important towards my future in mechanical engineering.

My Task

My task for the 2nd group project in engineering 198 was to help to construct the chassis. This consisted of making housings for the electric motors that would sit on top of the strings of the bass guitar. To do this, I purchased a sheet of aluminum and cut out 4 box patterns, then I folded the edges of the box into place.
Arduino Project
For my group's, T-pain, 2nd project, we decided to program a device that could play bass guitar. Here's how it turned out.

First Semester
As the semester comes to a close, I have a chance to reflect on the past 4 months. While I was excited about the idea of starting college, I also had some anxieties. When August finally rolled around and classes got started, I came to realize that college is nothing to worry to much about. While it is a little nerve racking knowing that what I do now will have a major effect on my future, the learning atmosphere provided by the university has made college a very manageable task.

Job Fair
I was expecting the worse when i entered the engineering expo. After talking to a couple companies my nerves were put to rest and i realized it wasn't all that scary. It will probably become scarier when I am attending as a junior or senior and i am actually looking for an internship or full-time job.
Steam Car
This last week in engineering 198, we worked on figuring out the appropriate way to style our chassis so that our rear gear system would work.
